You could use windows movie maker to create projects, and presentations for other classes. The thing I enjoyed most about this project was being able to research all of my favorite places in the world. I found getting all of the research to be the most difficult thing. I could not see myself doing this for personal use in the future because I don't usually do things like this.
http://advanced.aviary.com/ Was a decent photo editor. It let you play around with the layers and was easy to access and use. You can add text, change the brightness and blur the picture, clone the picture, and crop the picture. You can save it to your disk.
http://pixenate.com/ Was another only decent photo editor. It was easy to access and let you do a wide variety of things. You can re-size and crop photos, flip and rotate, fill light, fix red eye, and color on your photo. You can save it to your harddrive or upload it straight to flickr.
http://www.lunapic.com/editor/ With lunapic you can easily upload photos and somewhat edit them. You can add images to it and draw on the picture. It is very easy to upload the picture to various websites including facebook, and blogspot. It has a very nice interface and is easy to use.
